West Stafford School

Kindergarten Royal Ball

Kindergarteners at West Stafford School celebrated the end of their CKLA "Kings and Queens" segment with a Royal Ball held in the cafeteria The Royal Ball featured students and staff wearing their best royal regalia. They enjoyed a royal feast and waltzed together to round out the festivities.

SRO Appreciation

Students from West Stafford School were asked what they appreciate about SRO Earl Middleton. A video compilation was made with all of their responses and shown to Officer Middleton at WSS.

WSS Winter Wonderland

Students at West Stafford School earned a "Winter Wonderland" event in their Library classes. They did so by reaching their goal of 1,000 hours of reading at home. The event included dancing to "Winter Wonderland", reading in an igloo, decorating a paper mitten, exploring winter sensory bottles and winter puzzles, enjoying a snowball toss and a special winter scavenger hunt. Special Guests who joined in the celebration included: Mrs. Calvanese, WSS Principal and SRO Earl Middleton.

Energy Assembly

Last week, SES students in grades 3–5 participated in an interactive assembly about energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable resources. Through humor, live sketches, and audience participation, students learned how to make smart energy choices. Teachers also received access to games, quizzes, and lesson plans to continue the learning in the classroom.

The SMS Unified team participated in the CIAC Unified Sports Basketball tournament on Tuesday, February 10th at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury with over 150 players from various schools!

Congratulations to John Bean ~ Class S State Champion Wrestler! John won the state championship for weight class 106.

SHS Wrestling Team

The SHS Wrestling Team also had 6 place winners earning a spot in the state open - John Bean, Nate Kodzis, Derek Consolini, Kaiden Bobskill, Seth Ives, and Landen Langlois. Congratulations to the wrestling team, Coach Ives, and the wrestling community on a job well done!
